Cornwall boasts a community of runners, trails and events for every type of runner. From those wanting speed to those wanting hours of slower paced trails, we all join together at this annual event to talk all things running! Linking with the local running clubs, events companies, local running and wellness companies and workshop facilitators this event caters for everyone. Come along to meet friends you are yet to run with.

  • 9.30am Martin Penney from Bys vyken events and Whythra, took over 20 runners on a 4-5 mile multi terrain heading over to the Carn Brea Monument
  • 9.30am Martin Elcoate from The Green Runners, plod and litter pick around the Heartlands site managed to pick a large dustbin bag and half a shopping trolly!

the swap box

The swap box is a community organisation that takes unwanted running gear to donate out for free. The swap box attends many events, so please contact them to donate, but more importantly take a look at TAKE what you like. Our moto…’like what you see? Take it, it’s free”.

escape to the sauna

Escape swims appeared with their wood fired traditional sauna, showcasing the benefits that a sauna can offer. Escape swims pop up in various locations around Cornwall, including Maenporth, Carlyon Bay and Hayle, North Quay.

Highlights from 2023 show.

We kicked the event off at 9am alongide the weekly Heartlands parkrun. This was a great opportunity to try this parkrun prior to popping into the Cornwall Running Show.

With the Red River Cafe on the Heartlands site, and Be Kind Vegan Coffee Caravan vendors as part of the event, we had a selection of hot and cold food options, suitable for all to satisfy your fancy.

Trevor Lee was recording a live ‘running 44@60 podcast’ during the day, many had the chance to have their 5 mins of fame and talk to Trevor Lee about their running history and upcoming events and goals.

Guest speakers, including our very own Cornwall runner, Elsie Davies and running documentaries ran hourly from 10.45am on stage in the main hall.

this event was hosted by good friends of the show, Trevor Lee and Edward Chapman.

2023 guided runs and workshops

Guided runs using the local trails around the Heartland site offered a choice of distance and paced runs, allowing attendees to connect with new running groups and fellow runners.

Yoga and pilates sessions enabling attendees to soak up the atmosphere of the event while taking the time out to feel the benefits of these mindful practices.

Outdoor exercise to music classes and laughing yoga brought movement, laughter and joy, which continued throughout the day.

FREE workshops and guided runs, no ticket necessary.
